leading the next generation

sanctuary kids

In Sanctuary Kids (SK), we have the privilege to build a strong foundation of faith in God's children. We see our role as more than just childcare; we believe that by teaching children who God is and instilling biblical truths in their hearts, we create an environment for God to work in their lives. Our goal is for them to know and love Jesus, love others, and become global servants who glorify Him and build His kingdom. SK has various roles and ways to use your gifts:

LEAD/ASSISTANT TEACHERS (Infants-5th Grade) - shepherd our kids through God's Word, worship, discussions, games, and crafts. Leaders are provided with weekly materials to help them effectively teach and point kids to Jesus.

NURSERY/ELEMENTARY COACHES - our coaches are the liaison between our volunteers and SK staff. These coaches interact with volunteers, families and children as they serve. A coach is crucial to help provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for our kids.

STUDENT LEADERS (Infants- 5th Grade) - are students who love Jesus and want to help younger children learn about Him. They create a welcoming and loving environment on Sunday mornings by playing, teaching, and assisting in any way they can.

REGISTRATION HOSTS - are the first friendly faces visitors and members see on Sunday mornings. They represent Sanctuary by greeting people, engaging in conversation, and welcoming families and children.

LARGE GROUP TEACHERS (Pre-K & Elementary) - teach God's Word in fun and creative ways to children before they go into smaller groups. Sanctuary Kids staff provides the lessons, and these teachers are key in helping kids understand God's Truth.

MIDWEEK LEADERS - guide kids on Wednesdays through Bible study, worship, discussions, games, crafts, and blessings. These leaders are dedicated to praying for the children and investing in their spiritual journey with Jesus.

WEEKLY SUPPORT - this is a crucial behind the scenes role for SK that helps us prepare for Midweek and Sundays.
equipping the next generation

sanctuary youth

Sanctuary Youth (SY) aims to glorify God by helping students follow Christ, share the Gospel, and be transformed to live and love like Jesus. We believe prayer, worship, and Bible study are essential for students in grades 6-12. We want to work with parents to help students find their identity in Christ. SY has various rolles and ways to use your gifts:

SMALL GROUP LEADERS - are vital to SY. Working with a co-leader, they guide students through weekly discussions and support them throughout the week. These leaders stay with their group of students as they advance each year, building relationships and pointing them to Jesus.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SUNDAY LEADERS - teach and lead Bible study discussions for middle schoolers on Sunday mornings during the 11:00am gathering. Teaching topics and curriculum are provided.
bible-based full of grace

worship

Sanctuary desires to honor Jesus above all else. We believe that true worship involves our whole lives and happens together as a church body, not as a performance. Our worship team leads us in praising Jesus – The Author and Perfecter of our faith. Our worship team has various roles and ways to use your gifts:

VOCAL TEAM - we encourage vocalists who are not afraid to lead our Faith Family. They must be able to lead and support vocally with good pitch and be able to sing different parts as needed.

BAND - we are looking for instrumentalists who have both experience in a band/ensemble and have a heart for Jesus. They should be comfortable playing with a click track, reading music charts, and playing various worship styles. Our goal is musical excellence that supports and doesn't distract from corporate worship.

SOUND - team members need excellent hearing, understand proper blending of vocals and instruments, know the weekly music, and understand audio signal flow. Beyond the technical skills, they create a clear, enjoyable, and impactful worship experience that compliments the movement of the Holy Spirit.

SCREEN CONTENT - lead the congregation in worship! You will need computer experience, know the weekly music, be able to follow our teachers and willing to learn ProPresenter.

LIGHTING - good lighting in church is hardly noticed, but very effective to how we receive and give in worship. You’ll need to follow the order of service for lighting scenes. Some knowledge of lighting consoles/color blending is helpful but not necessary.

VIDEO CONTENT/SWITCHER - this person provides the video for the campus, auditorium and livestream. They also capture the teaching for others to watch online. Experience in video switching would be helpful.

Also see “Prayer Team” for worship under “Care Team”roles.
go and make disciples of all nations

outreach

Sanctuary is committed to equipping our Faith Family to share the Gospel and make disciples everywhere – from our families to the world (Matthew 28:19-20). Whether through local outreach or global trips, serving others can lead to personal spiritual growth and deeper connections with people and God.

LOCAL OUTREACH - offers ways to serve our local partners and community, meeting both practical and spiritual needs to share Jesus. We've helped students and non-profits spread the Gospel by actively being the hands and feet of Jesus.

GLOBAL MISSION TRIPS - join us for one of our international mission trips to Africa, Asia or South America. With tight partnerships to ministries in these regions, our teams are able to see God at work in the hearts and minds of the global populations.
transformation through unity

group life

Our desire is to have a place for everyone at Sanctuary to be in community to navigate the days and weeks ahead. Through  community, Jesus will be at work to transform our Faith Family into His image. To have these groups, we will need Leaders to shepherd the group members and faithfully facilitate conversations that follow the Word of God and adhere to the mission and beliefs of Sanctuary. Group Leaders are needed for a few different types of groups:

COMMUNITY DINNER GROUP HOSTS - schedule monthly gatherings, organize meals, and communicate with group members. The focus is on building community, and Bible study is optional. Dinner locations can rotate among members' homes. These groups initially meet for four months but can continue longer if the group wishes.

LIFE GROUP LEADERS - schedule meeting times, communicate with group members, organize meals (if applicable), and lead Bible study discussions. Leaders can use resources like our Sunday morning message discussion questions, RightNow Media or other materials that align with Sanctuary's mission and beliefs.

MENS/WOMENS ROOTED GROUP LEADERS - schedule meeting times, communicate with group members, and lead in-depth Bible study discussions. These groups stay together for an extended period of time to grow deeper in their relationship with God and each other.

BIBLE STUDY/CLASS FACILITATORS - Bible studies gather during the week or on Sunday mornings for an in-depth study of God's word. Topical Classes will transform everyday life (like marriage) through the lens of the Gospel. These opportunities are offered throughout the year and can be found on the "Opportunities" page on our website.
